Cecil Clarkson teaches US History and Social Studies at Christian Academy.
Cecil has a BA in History from University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law also from USC. He practiced law in South Carolina for 30 years, most recently in Myrtle Beach with Dusenbury & Clarkson, P.A.
Mr. Clarkson’s love of history and a desire to have a positive impact through education led him to seek a transition from the courtroom to the classroom. In addition to his academic classes, he is the instructor of the Christian Academy Chess Club. His hobbies include surfing, mountain biking, hiking, guitar, and travel. Mr. Clarkson is married to another C.A. teacher, Joy Clarkson. Cecil and Joy have two grown children.
One thing he loves about CA is praying with students.
One of his favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 3:5-6.
