Eva Shaw teaches Upper School Science, including Biology, Marine Science and 7th grade. Eva has a degree in Medical Technology from Clemson University. She has taught in Christian Schools since 1999, first in North Carolina, before moving to Garden City in 2001. She homeschooled 2 of her 4 children for 3 years and then served as the High School Science teacher at Calvary Christian School for 3 years before coming to Christian Academy to teach science in 2008. She left CA after 9 years and served as a Bible teacher for 3 years with Coastal School Ministries - a Release Time Bible Class program that serves Horry County Public Schools. She was excited to return to CA in 2020 and fulfill God’s call by helping students see the character of God in all of His creation.
Mrs. Shaw is a South Carolina native from Chester but grew up in Macon, Georgia, where she met her best friend and husband, Robert Shaw. They have 4 grown children- Ashlee, Brittany, Robbie married to Alyssa, and Gabe (CA graduate class of 2011) married to Abbie. She is also a proud grandmother to Hadlee, the daughter of Robbie and Alyssa. Her passion is to proclaim God’s Truth and see students come to faith in Christ and live a life that honors God in everything they do. She also enjoys kayaking, walking on the beach, and spending time with family. Spending time with her new grand baby is her new favorite thing!! One of her favorite verses is Philippians 1:6: “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."
