Mrs. Vicki King-Skinner Marcis begins her 15th year teaching at Christian Academy and 20th year in education.
She currently teaches AP United States History, AP Macroeconomics, AP Government and Politics, and Economics/Government at Christian Academy. She also teaches Economics at Coastal Carolina University and Coker University. Vicki earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Francis Marion University, a Master of Business Administration in Management and Economics from Winthrop University and a Masters of Education (ED.S.) in Instructional Technology from Coastal Carolina University.
Mrs. Marcis resides in Pawleys Island with her husband, John, and four cats, Muffin, Bailey, Luce and Beauregard. Mrs. Marcis attends St. Paul’s Methodist Church and Florence Baptist Temple. In her spare time she enjoys seeing her grandchildren, painting, reading, and working in her yard.
Mrs. Marcis feels very blessed to be a part of the Christian Academy family and believes every student is special and has talents that should be explored, and thus her favorite verse: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
