Saints Support Policy

1. Purpose
The purpose of the Saints Support financial assistance program is to make a Christian education accessible to students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds. Financial assistance is awarded based on demonstrated financial need, and it is funded by the school’s operating budget and donor contributions.

2. Guiding Principles
* Financial assistance is granted based on demonstrated financial need, not academic or athletic merit.
* Awards are confidential and recipients are expected to maintain the same confidentiality.
* The financial assistance program is intended to support economic diversity and reflect the school’s commitment to inclusion and opportunity.
* Families are expected to contribute to the extent they are able, and the school will help bridge the gap.
* Any family that applies for Saints Support MUST also apply for the SC ESTF scholarship program.

3. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for financial aid, a family must:
* Have a student applying to or currently enrolled in grades K–12
* Demonstrate financial need through submission of documentation
* Submit a completed financial assistance application by the stated deadline
* Be in good standing with the school regarding previous tuition payment obligations

4. Application Process
Submit Financial Aid Applications
* Complete the SC Department of Education’s Educational Scholarship Trust Fund application. Documentation of submission and decision will be required before a Saints Support award can be finalized.
* Complete the Saints Support financial assistance application in FACTS Financial Aid Management.
* Upload required documents or authorize IRS integration.
Deadlines
* Applications for returning families: April 30th
* Applications for new families: Prior to Enrollment Packet Submission
Review
Applications are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee, and all awards are determined based on demonstrated need and available funds. Student(s) must be fully enrolled at Christian Academy before tuition assistance can be finalized.

5. Award Notification
Saints Support awards cannot be finalized until ESTF determinations are made.  It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide the Christian Academy business office with documentation of your ESTF application status/decision.

6. Award Stacking
Only one Christian Academy discount is allowed per student; award stacking is not permitted. Saints Support and other school discounts are applied AFTER ESTF has been taken into consideration.

7. Expectations of Recipients
* Maintain academic effort and abide by school rules and policies
* Communicate promptly with the Business Office about any changes in financial status
* Reapply annually for continued assistance

8. Non-Discrimination Statement
Financial aid decisions are made without regard to race, national origin or disability.

9. Appeals
Families who believe their financial aid award does not reflect their current circumstances may submit an appeal in writing with additional documentation.
