Eva Shaw
MS Bible & Science

Eva Shaw teaches Upper School Science and Bible.

Eva has a BS in Medical Technology from Clemson University. She has taught in Christian Schools since 1999, first in North Carolina, before moving to Garden City in 2001. She homeschooled two of her four children for three years and then served as the High School Science teacher at Calvary Christian School for three years before coming to Christian Academy to teach science in 2008. She left CA after 9 years and served as a Bible teacher for 3 years with Coastal School Ministries - a Release Time Bible Class program that serves Horry County Public Schools. She was excited to return to CA in 2020 and fulfill God’s call by helping students see the character of God in all of His creation.
Mrs. Shaw is a South Carolina native from Chester but grew up in Macon, Georgia, where she met her best friend and husband, Robert Shaw. They have four grown children - Ashlee, Brittany, Robbie, and Gabe (CA graduate class of 2011). She is also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren. Her passion is to proclaim God’s Truth and see students come to faith in Christ and live a life that honors God in everything they do. She also enjoys kayaking, making sourdough bread, being outside, and being with her grandchildren.

One of her favorite things about CA is the focus on doing the work we are called to do with excellence for God's glory.

One of her favorite verses is Philippians 1:6: “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."
