  • Yearbook Team 2018

In 2009-2010 school year,  the yearbook became a part of the half credit Journalism class. Now the class is a full credit and is called Digital Design and Publication class.  The class works to produce the book using online design software.  The yearbook class is an application class, where students have to apply and have at least one teacher recommendation. The experience it offers to our students is vital to learn not only about Journalism but also about marketing, sales, money management, leadership, time management, teamwork and advanced computer skills. A love for design, photography or being a detailed oriented person are all things that make yearbook a place to find and hone skills for the future. Yearbook is one of the best and hardest classes at Christian Academy.

CA also offers DDP 2, 3 and 4 (Advanced Yearbook). The students in these classes are students from the previous year(s).  These students are the "Teachers" of the class, informing the new students of protocol, guidelines and class routines. The students who take this class are dedicated to Yearbook and to improving the skills that they learned in previous years.

The yearbook staff of 2013-14 earned a superior on their yearbook "Capture the Moment" from the South Carolina Scholastic Press Association. This is the first time that the yearbook has been submitted for judging and evaluation. Since that time, the yearbook has continued to win superior ratings each year.

Lea Ann Williams is the Yearbook Adviser and teacher. She is a Certified Journalism Educator (CJE), certified through the Journalism Education Association.
