Mark Stewart

Mark Stewart is entering his fourth year at Christian Academy as a Bible and Social Studies teacher.
Mark has a BA in English from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Biblical Studies from Capital Bible Seminary. He has 20 years in Christian Education at the collegiate and K-12 levels and is ACSI certified in Bible and English in Secondary Education.
Before following God’s call to Christian education, Mark spent 12 years in journalism as an award-winning sportswriter, columnist, and editor in the Maryland suburbs, including jobs at the Washington Times and Washington Post.
Mark and his wife, Lisa, recently celebrated their 30th anniversary and have two sons, Sean and Jeremy, and a daughter-in-law, Malone. He loves spending his spare time reading, watching sports, playing pickleball, and going to the beach. He also enjoys serving as the “Voice of the Saints,” doing P.A. announcing for Saints home games.
One thing he loves about Christian Academy is CA’s commitment to Christ and all-around excellence in all the school does.
His favorite Bible passage is 2 Cor. 4:16-18.
