Jennifer Irwin

Mrs. Irwin began teaching at Christian Academy in the spring of 2018 and is currently one of Christian Academy's 4th grade teachers.
She holds her B.S. in Elementary Education from Bryan College and her Masters in Elementary Education from East Tennessee State University.
Before getting married, Mrs. Irwin spent more than eight years teaching at Christian schools in Tennessee, Belize, and Niger. After returning to the States, she married her husband and spent the next 15 years helping with children's ministries at churches in Tennessee and South Dakota. She returned to teaching when her husband became a pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Myrtle Beach and her three children, Elena (graduate of CA), Micah (graduate of CA), and Xander (senior at CA) began attending Christian Academy. She has now worked in children's ministry for the past 35 years. She won teacher of the year in 2021, Golden Apple Teacher of the year in 2024, and SCISA teacher of the year in 2025.
One thing she loves about CA is sharing the love of Jesus while teaching about the depth of God's creation and His story.
Her favorite verse is Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”
