Rick Nikkel
Mr. Nikkel was born and raised in the town of Pella, Iowa, and earned a bachelors of finance degree from the University of Iowa. His first job after graduation brought him to Richmond, Virginia. It was there that he met his wife Lynn and where their son and only child, Matthew, was born.
After a move to Chesapeake, Virginia in 2001, the Nikkels became connected to Norfolk Christian Schools, where Rick became the Director of Development in 2005 and led their fundraising program for eighteen years.
Rick and Lynn moved to Myrtle Beach in the summer of 2022, are active members of Surfside Presbyterian Church (PCA) and together enjoy the beach, their Labrador Retriever, biking, and almost any restaurant with a water view. Lynn continues to work remotely for DuPont and their son and his wife live in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Nikkel's favorite part of CA is the commitment to a distinctly Christian world view and how deeply the teachers and staff care for our students.
His favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 2:8-9- “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
